Born October 7, 1959, Pago Pago, American Samoa is an American screenwriter, producer and director.
After spending much of his childhood in American Samoa, Thompson first gained exposure to the entertainment world as an actor, learning the craft of actors like Powers Booth. Eventually settling on a job as a screenwriter, he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University and went on to work as a playwright.
As creator and executive producer of Las Vegas, Thompson also directed 4 episodes and made a small appearance as a patient psychotherapist. His most recent major project was as director and executive producer of The Knight Rider Show, a reissue of the classic 1980s television series.
