Born August 9, 1989, Cairns, Queensland, Australia is an Australian actor.
Studied acting at Queensland University of Technology, graduating in 2010. Before graduating from university, in 2010, he starred in the independent film Charge Over You. After that he moved to Sydney, where he began acting in the television series Home and Away. Thwaites landed the lead role in the television movie Blue Lagoon, a remake of the 1980 film. In 2014, he starred in Maleficent as Prince Philip and also co-starred in The Initiate, an adaptation of Lois Lowry's novel The Giver.
