Born March 17, 1942, Riga, USSR (Latvia) - Soviet and Latvian animation director.
Graduated from the Faculty of Puppet Theater Actors of the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (1964). She worked as a director of the Latvian television (studio "Telefilm-Riga", 1966-1987), the Riga film studio (1987-1990) and the animation film studio "Dauka" (since 1991).
Six-time winner of the main national film award "Big Kristaps" in the category of Best Animated Film ("How I Rode to the Maiden of the North", 1980; "In My Pocket", 1983; "Counting Rates in Pictures", 1988; "Ness and Nessie", 1993; "Fairy tale", 1998; "Unusual people of Riga", 2001).
Member of the International Animated Film Association. Laureate of the highest award of the Latvian Cultural Foundation "Spidolas balva" (1995). Chevalier of the Order of Three Stars (2003).
