Born on December 4, 1964, Istanbul is a Turkish pop star, one of the most successful singers in Turkey.
At the dawn of her career she worked for another famous Turkish singer Sezen Aksu. Sertab released her first album, Sakin Ol, in 1992, followed by several more albums in Turkish, which brought the singer fame at home and abroad.
Sertab's victory at Eurovision was a real breakthrough in the musical world of Europe. In the wake of success, when the song "Everyway That I Can" was at the top of the European charts, Sertab Erener recorded the English-language album "No Boundaries", released in 2004.
In 2005 Sertab Erener participates in Congratulations, a TV show dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Eurovision. Her song took 9th place among the 15 best songs in the history of Eurovision. In 2007, a collection of the best songs of Sertab was published, a rich repertoire of which includes compositions in English, Spanish and Greek, as well as duets with Ruslana, Jose Carreras, Ricky Martin.
