Born June 12, 1979, Stockholm, Sweden - Swedish artist, singer and songwriter.
Robyn became popular in the late nineties with her dance hits "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)" from her debut album Robyn Is Here (1997). She is the co-author of "Du gor mig hel igen" (You Make Me Whole Again), a song for Melodifestivalen in 1997, Sweden's qualifying competition to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest. The popularity of her chart-topping single "With Every Heartbeat" and the subsequent release of the 2005 album Robyn brought her massive worldwide success. In January 2009, Robin received the Swedish Grammis Award for Best Live Performance in 2008.
In June 2010, Robin released the album Body Talk Pt. 1, the first of a planned trilogy that has been released sequentially throughout the year. The album's lead single, "Dancing on My Own", was released a few weeks before the album and became a worldwide hit, earning the singer a Grammy Awards nomination for Best Dance Recording. The next album of the trilogy, Body Talk Pt. 2, was released on September 6th, immediately peaking at # 1 on the Swedish charts. The final third album, Body Talk, was released on November 22nd. The first single from it was the song "Indestructible".
