Born May 24, 1965, Kyoto, Japan - Japanese animation director, screenwriter and producer.

He joined Sunrise Studios in the mid-80s and worked there as a series director and storyboard artist. He made his directorial debut in 1994, when he co-directed Macross Plus with Shoji Kawamori.
