Born April 1, 1932 in El Paso, Texas as the second child to Maxine (1913-1999) and Raymond Francis Reynolds (1903-1986), a carpenter on the Southern Railroad. In her youth, she participated in the scout movement, where she was the leader of the squad. In 1939, her family moved to the Californian city of Burbank, where she attended High School. John Burroughs. At the age of sixteen, Reynolds won the Miss Burbank beauty pageant, and shortly thereafter, Warner Brothers offered her a contract to film.
