Director, screenwriter and actor.

In 1947-1949 he studied in absentia at the Faculty of Law of the Tbilisi Law Institute.
In 1948 he graduated from the School of Film Actors at the Tbilisi Film Studio. From 1950-56 - actor of the Sukhumi Drama Theater.
Since 1956 he has been an actor at the Georgia-Film studio.
Since 1963 - director of the film studio "Georgia-Film" .
Artist of the Tbilisi Theater named after Kote Marjanishvili.
People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1967).
