Dato Bakhtadze was born in Tbilisi. He began his acting career back in 1987 - with the Soviet film "Bravo, Albert Lolish!" Soon he was involved in several Georgian films in 1993 and 1994.
Bakhtadze played his first roles in the USA in the TV series "Spy", "Operative", as well as in the film "Clash". He has repeatedly collaborated with Timur Bekmambetov, who is also actively working in Hollywood.
