April 21, 1924 - August 6, 2008 - Soviet director-animator and artist-animator.
Participated in the Great Patriotic War. In battles, he received a severe bullet wound to the head.
After the war, in 1946, he entered the preparatory courses of the Moscow Architectural Institute. In 1947 he transferred to animation courses at Soyuzmultfilm and the next year he was admitted to the studio staff as an animator. He worked in this position for over 20 years. From 1970 to 1973 - director at the Multtelefilm studio of the Ekran creative association. In 1974 he returned to Soyuzmultfilm and directed several more cartoons.
