Graduated from the Irkutsk School of Arts in 1976. Since 1979 he has been working in the theater as a production designer. Creator of scenography for more than 80 performances in drama, musical, puppet theaters in Russia and the world. In 1984-1990 - chief artist of the Irkutsk Theater for Young Spectators named after I. A. Vampilov, where together with the director Vyacheslav Kokorin staged the performances "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by W. Shakespeare, "High Voltage" by A. Platonov, "Elder Son" by A. Vampilov. In 1990-1996 - chief artist of the Penza theater "Doll House". Performances: "The Magic Ring" by A. Platonov, "Martynko" by V. Shergin, "The Enchanted Boar" by V. Biryukov.
