Born on May 11, 1934. Graduated from the Moscow Theater School. M.S. Schepkin (1957, course of V.N. Pashennaya). From 1957 to 1978 - Actor of the Koltsov Voronezh Drama Theater. 1978 to 1991 actor of the Moscow New Drama Theater. Since 1992, he has been an actor in the troupe of the Voronezh Youth Theater. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978). In the mid-1990s, Yuri Platonov became disabled - his leg was amputated. He currently lives in the Voronezh home for the disabled.
