During her almost fifty-year career, Pam Ferris has played more than 70 roles of various types and genres, the most recognizable of which are the characters of Mrs. Snow from the family melodrama Polianne (2003), Grace Poole's maidservant from the mini-series Suzanne White Jane Eyre (2006), and Aunt Marge from the cult fairy tale about the adventures of Harry Potter.

The future Hollywood star was born in Germany in 1948, but spent her childhood in Wales. When the girl turned thirteen, the Ferris family emigrated to New Zealand, but, barely reaching adulthood, Pam returns back to the UK, where she realizes her acting skills: first in the theater, and then on the big screen.
