Studied at the theater school in Sverdlovsk.
He played at the Shadrinsky Drama Theater, at the Tomsk Drama Theater. In 1971 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School. From 1971 to 1975 he was an actor at the Gorky Moscow Art Academic Theater. 1975 to 1989 - actor of the Moscow New Drama Theater. In 2000, he left the acting profession for health reasons.
