Born on February 25, 1892. He began his stage career at the Moscow Theater of Miniatures (1914). In 1920-1922 he was an actor in the Theater of Revolutionary Satire (Terevsat). (After the theater moved from Vitebsk, the troupe was renewed and replenished. A. Doroshevich, V. Toporkov, G. Yaron, L. Prozorovsky, L. Utesov, M. Kholodov, etc. played on the theater stage.) In 1923-1937 he was an actor of the Theater. Sun. Meyerhold. Since 1937 - actor at the Central Children's Theater. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1958).
