Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune was lucky to be born into the family of the owner of a photo studio in Qingdao in 1920 on April 1.
As soon as the boy was four years old, their family moved to Dairin. Toshiro spent his childhood and teenage years in beautiful Manchuria. In the winter he was fond of skating, and in the summer he wandered over the rocks. After school, Toshiro was drafted into the army. He miraculously did not get to the front, but served in a training aviation detachment. For six long years of service, he managed to master the course of photography.
In 1946, Toshiro took part in a job competition at the Toho studio. There were 12 thousand applicants in total, and only eighteen men and thirty women were able to qualify for the final, including his future wife, Sachiko. Their wedding took place in 1950, and two sons and a daughter were born into a family of actors. Together with the role of the insidious robber Tadzemaru in Kurosawa's film Rasemon, Toshiro Mifune was awarded the Golden Lion and later Oscar at the Venice Film Festival. In 1963, T. Mifune created his own film company called Mifune Pro, working closely with the former Toho company. In 1965 T. Mifune went on a foreign tour, visiting Moscow and Paris. He was invited to shoot in America and Europe. But in 1995 he had to endure a heart attack, and on December 24, 1997 the actor died.
