In 1965 he graduated from the Shchukin Higher Theater School.
From August 1965 to January 1985 - actor of the Leningrad Academic Theater of Comedy named after N.P. Akimov.
From February 1985 to January 1987 he was an artist of the Leningrad Theater named after the Lenin Komsomol. Played lawyer Rolfe ("The Trial" by E. Mann, 1985), Simon ("Tamada" by A. Galin, 1985) .
Until 1993, he worked at the Otkryty Theater (Lensovet Theater).
Since February 1997 - actor of the St. Petersburg State Drama Theater on Liteiny.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1980).
