Born in France on June 2, 1945, graduated from the Institute for Political Studies in Strasbourg, Francois Dupleit began his career in the film industry, starting as an associate of Louis Mallet in 1969. In 1971 he became the leader of the company's production and distribution in Munich, Germany.
In 1980, he was managing the distribution company Concorde FILMVERLEIH. In 1987 he founded his own company, NEF 2 FILMVERLEIH GmbH, which distributes films.
