Born December 5, 1969, Glasgow, Scotland is a Scottish director, screenwriter, producer and cameraman.
Graduated from the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield (Buckinghamshire, England).
Known for the films she directed, Pied Piper, Morvern Kallar, Something Wrong With Kevin. Lynn Ramsey's films feature themes of childhood and adolescence, as well as recurring themes of grief, guilt and death and their aftermath. They have little dialogue and sheer storytelling, and instead use images, vivid details, music and sound design to create their worlds. In April 2013, she was selected as a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2015, Ramsey was a member of the jury for the main competition at the Venice Festival.
