Born on May 22, 1933 in Leningrad. She graduated from the Vaganova Leningrad Choreographic School and the ballet master department of the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Leningrad State Conservatory.
She worked at the Mariinsky Theater. For a number of seasons he has been a choreographer-tutor at the American Ballet Theater in New York.
Professor of the Department of Classical Dance at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1957).
People's Artist of the RSFSR (1960).
People's Artist of the USSR (1965).
