The beginning of the twentieth century was marked by the birth of a wonderful chamber singer, actor and director Sergei Lemeshev. The most beloved by the public and by the actor himself was the part of Lensky, the last time Lemeshev performed it when he was seventy.

Sergei was a talented chamber singer, lyrical romances performed by him took heart. He tried himself as a director, under his leadership, Werther Massenet was directed at the Bolshoi.
