Graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1967, workshop of V.V.Belokurov).
1968-1970 - actor of the Central Theater of the Soviet Army.
1970-1992 - actor at the Gorky Film Studio.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1984) .
He worked a lot on dubbing Baltic films.
Valery Ryzhakov left the acting path and became an entrepreneur, was engaged in the publishing business. In the publishing business, he achieved success, but soon turned to God and retired completely from worldly affairs. Currently, Valery serves in the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Trinity-Golenishchevo (not far from Mosfilm).
