The famous and talented actor Yuri Fedorovich Shepelev is a native of the city of Yaroslavl. He was born in 1927 on October 4th. As a sixteen-year-old boy he went to fight. He took part in the battles for Berlin. After the victory, he continued to serve in a military ensemble in Germany. In 1951, Yuri returned to his native Yaroslavl and got a job at the local Philharmonic. And in 1955 he was invited to the Musical Comedy Theater in Khabarovsk. Here Shepelev played his first roles. Since 1961, Yuri Shepelev has been an actor of the Operetta Theater of the city of Pyatigorsk. After the successful role of the hunchback Quasimodo in the production of "Esmeralda", the actor goes on tour to Moscow. The administration of the theater submits a petition to confer the title "Honored" on Shepelev, but upon learning of his intention to move to the Leningrad theater, the decision was canceled.
In 1965, the actor still arrives in Leningrad and becomes an actor in the theater of musical comedy, where he plays without fail until 1985.
