Kopylov Vitaly Ivanovich was born on December 29, 1925 in the city of Omsk. He began his career as an actor at a time when the Great Patriotic War lasted. Then he worked at the Novosibirsk plant, holding the position of a locksmith. As soon as the opera house was opened in the city, Vitaly Kopylov got into the choir on the recommendations of the plant. Six years later, he graduated from the conservatory in Leningrad for a solo singing class, where the actor's teacher was E. Olkhovsky, and also for a chamber singing class.
After Vitaly Ivanovich completed his studies at the Conservatory, in 1955 he became a soloist of the Musical Comedy Theater in Leningrad.
