Born on November 26, 1955 in Leningrad. Alexander Ustinov came to the cinema immediately after graduating from high school in 1973. One of the leading camera directors of St. Petersburg started out at the Lenfilm film studio as an electrician. After serving in the army, he returned to "Lenfilm", worked as a mechanic for the maintenance of filming equipment, an assistant operator and a second operator.
