Born April 18, 1923 in Petrograd. In 1940-1941 he studied at the Faculty of Philology of Leningrad State University, in 1941-1942 - at the Acting Department of the Leningrad Theater Institute. A.N. Ostrovsky. In 1947 he graduated from the studio at the BDT. Since 1947 - theater director in theaters in Moscow, Leningrad, Petrozavodsk. He died in 1979. He was buried at the Jewish cemetery of St. Petersburg.
