Honored Artist of the RSFSR, talented theater and film actor, master of the comedy role Fedor Nikolayevich Kurikhin is a native of St. Petersburg. It was here that the future actor was lucky enough to be born in 1881 on January 8. In 1906, Fedor Kurikhin graduated from the Imperial Acting Courses at the Alexandrinsky Theater. First, the actor played on the stages of provincial theaters, and later - in the theater of satire in St. Petersburg "Crooked Mirror". Later there were new films with Fyodor Kurikhin: The Story of a Girl (1915), The Tragedy of Evlampy Chirkin (1925), The Mechanical Traitor (1931). But the fame and love of the audience brought the actor his role as a torch-bearer in the immortal comedy Funny Fellows, which was released on movie screens in 1934. In the film, Kurikhin, together with Orlova and Utesov, sang the famous ditties "Tyuh-tyuh-tyuh, our iron is on fire!" Brightness of colors, spontaneity, infectiousness and amazing lightness have always been inherent in his play. That is why the audience accepted the new roles of Fyodor Kurikhin with the greatest enthusiasm. In the Goalkeeper, the actor played an eccentric football fan with aching teeth, in the Rich Bride - the night watchman of grandfather Naum, and in the film Circus - the owner of the trained dog Captain Borneo.
Also F. Kurikhin took part in the dubbing of animated films Teremok (1945) and Gray Neck (1948).
Until the last day, the actor played in the theater. He was never late even for a rehearsal, therefore, when one day F. Kurikhin did not appear at the beginning of the performance, everyone was alarmed. Calling home, they found out that the actor left for a long time. It turns out that he became ill at the trolleybus stop, and the body did not suffer a heart attack. It happened on January 17, 1951.
