Born June 21, 1948, Lodz, Poland - Polish science fiction writer and publicist, author of the popular fantasy saga The Witcher. Sapkowski's works have been published in Czech, Russian, German, Spanish, Finnish, Lithuanian, French, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Italian, Swedish and Serbian. According to publishers, Sapkowski is one of the five most published authors in Poland. The writer himself, as a rule, does not cover the circulation of his books.
