Born on August 26, 1947 in the town of Unecha, Bryansk Region, in the Kalyanovs' teaching family. Pugacheva, Kalyanov organized one of the first private recording studios in Moscow, "Ton-service" (it is believed that A. Zatsepin created the first private studio in the USSR). Since that time, Kalyanov also worked as a sound producer: many Russian pop and foreign artists recorded their songs at his studio. Kalyanov said about the beginning of his career as a singer: “My first album was written by Igor Nikolaev. Igor Nikolaev and Alla Pugacheva are my creative "dad" and "mom". Alla convinced me that I should go on stage and sing, which I really opposed, if not for her, I would never have become an artist. I wasn't going to be. If I sang, it was at the request of Igor Nikolaev. He said: "You have an interesting timbre, let's try to record you." Kalyanov made his debut as a singer at Alla Pugacheva's "Christmas Meetings" with the song "Old Cafe". Then he starts touring. In 1989 he was the first to record in his studio Vika Tsyganova. A. Kalyanov toured across Russia, the CIS countries and abroad; performed for the Russian-speaking audience (he was six times in America, gave concerts in Israel, Germany). From 1986 to 2005, ten albums of A. Kalyanov were released (often by “pirated” editions).
