In 1956 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (course of P.V. Massalsky). In the 1960s he was an actor at the Riga Russian Theater. Since 1969 he has been an actor at the Moscow Lenin Komsomol Theater (now the Lenkom Theater). Gruvemuvestart Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
