Graduated from the Geological Prospecting College, Faculty of Hydrogeological (1959)
From 1965 to 2008 - cameraman at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio.
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1993)
Director of photography at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio (Yekaterinburg), where he has been working since 1963. Before working in fiction films, he worked with the famous documentary filmmaker Boris Galanter (The Best Years of Our Life, The Shagovik, Juliet, 20 Days of Hot Summer, Echo, Fair).
