Born on August 11, 1907 in the village of Petrovtsy, Poltava province (Ukraine) in the family of a railway worker.
In 1924-1926 he studied at the film faculty of the Kiev Theater College. In 1929 he graduated from the screen department of the Odessa State College of Cinematography.
Filmed in films since 1925. He worked as an assistant director at the Ukrainian studio of newsreel and documentary films (1944-1949) .
Passed away on January 25, 1957.
