Was born in 1969 in Kiev. He studied at the music school, piano, graduated from the cinematography department of the Kiev University of Theater and Cinema named after I. I. Karpenko-Kary, later graduated from the theater department there. Later he worked for the National TV Company of Ukraine. He showed himself as an excellent clip maker - since 1997 Papernik has worked with the most famous Ukrainian performers.
Since 2003 he has been shooting both television and feature films. Filmed several musicals. In 2009, Papernik directed the controversial television series Untouchables, which was not shown on television for censorship reasons. In the same year he staged the musical and entertainment show "People's Star".
