Born September 7, 1938 in Moscow.
In 1962 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of G.L. Roshal) .
Since 1964 he worked at the Gorky Film Studio.
Already the director's diploma work - "Aunt with Violets" - was awarded a prize at the Krakow Film Festival (1964) .
The work of P.G. Lyubimov had an inherent interest in contemporary problems hidden in everyday life. Among his best films: "Women", "Spring Call" (silver medal named after A.P. Dovzhenko) .
He passed away on June 23, 2010 in Moscow.
