American country duo, formed in 1990. The duo included: Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. Eddie is the brother of John Michael Montgomery, who was a popular country singer from 1990 to 2000. Both brothers and Tony were members of this group in the 1990s. From 1999 to the present, Montgomery Gentry has released 21 singles in the United States. Also released 5 albums and a collection of hits. Eddie and his brother lived in Kentucky. Prior to the formation of the duet, Eddie and Troy sang with Eddie's younger brother, John, in the group Early Tymz. In early 1990, John left the band to pursue a solo career.
