Sophia Garrel was born in October 1904 (Moscow). In 1922 she became a student of the second studio of the Moscow Art Theater. Two years later - a full-fledged member of the Moscow Art Theater troupe.
In "The Blue Bird" she managed to play more than one role: the Unborn Soul (debut on stage), Light, Water.
Took part in the play "Elizaveta Petrovna". Here, too, did not stop at one role. She brilliantly played both Maria Menshikova, and Anna Petrovna, and Elizabeth II.
