Born on May 12, 1928 in Tbilisi. Director, screenwriter, actor.
People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1983) .
Graduated from acting (1951, workshop of M. Romm) and directing (1961, workshop of G. Roshal) faculties of VGIK. Since 1951 he has been an actor, since 1961 he has been a director of the Georgia-Film Studio.
