Was born in Moscow. Studied at the Theater Studio of F. F. Komissarzhevsky (since 1918).
Since 1918 - an actor in Moscow theaters (KhPSRO, the Operetta Theater, the Bat Theater,
"Revolutionary satire", the Moscow Art Theater, the First State Theater for Children).
In 1920-1935. - an actor of the theater of the RSFSR (since 1923 - the V.E. Meyerhold Theater), since 1938 - an actor of the Academic Maly Theater.
