Alexander Arsentiev was born in Tolyatti on October 31, 1973. Since childhood, he fell in love with acting, playing in productions of the local theater "Wheel". After leaving school, he tried to enter the philological faculty of the university in the city of Samara, but failed. In this regard, he was educated as an electromechanic in the field of commercial and refrigeration equipment. After serving in the army, he worked for Avtovaz, repaired various types of equipment. In 1999 he was admitted to the Anton Pavlovich Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, where he made his debut as Albert in the production of Little Tragedies. This was followed by many roles in theater performances, which formed the foundation of Arsentiev's acting career. Since 2001 he has been an artist of the Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin Theater.
