Yuri Gusev was born in February 1936 (Moscow). My father was a military man. From childhood, the boy was interested in theater. Despite this, having received an incomplete secondary education, he entered the electromechanical technical school. After graduation, he began working in his specialty at the Scientific Research Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics.
Before Yuri had time to work for a year, he was drafted into the army. After serving three years, the guy returned to the research institute, now a senior technician. At one time he worked as an engineer, mechanic at various factories.
In 1961, Gusev remembered his childhood hobby and entered the Schepkinsky theater school (in the evening department). In parallel, he worked at the Institute of Rheumatism.
Five years later, Yuri Evgenievich graduated from his studies and became an actor of the Mossovet Theater. But the man worked there for only three seasons. Already during his student days, Gusev actively acted in films. He was constantly in demand, so he had to choose between the theater and the big screen. The talented actor chose the latter. In 1968 the actor got married. A year later, his wife, announcer Marina Kuznetsova, gave birth to a daughter. The girl became a theater actress.
Yuri died at the age of 42 during filming. The actor was buried in Moscow.
