May 14, 1934, Moscow - September 8, 1991 - Soviet composer.
He graduated from the Institute of Culture, worked in pop and jazz ensembles (played the accordion), was the first in the Soviet Union to introduce the flute into the jazz ensemble. He began to study composition in 1960. He wrote songs for pop singers, worked as a music editor for the popular radio program Good Morning! Gruvemuvestart For 25 years, he wrote music for the famous "Baby Monitor" program, where songs helped children memorize difficult rules of grammar, biology and other subjects.
Author of music for many popular cartoons ("One cowboy, two cowboy", "Robinson Kuzya", TV series about Leopold the Cat, "House for the Leopard" and others) .
Together with the musical group of the composer Yevgeny Bednenko "Horus" (the "Horus" trio) recorded several children's musicals at the Melodiya recording company: "The Treasures of Captain Flint", "The Sea Devil", "Birthday of Leopold the Cat" and others. The first production in the Soviet Union of the musical "Leopold the Cat's Birthday" was directed by Mikhail Timofti at the Orenburg Theater of Musical Comedy and at the Moldavian National Theater named after Mihai Eminescu.
The musical "The Treasure of Captain Flint" was staged by Mikhail Timofti at the Tomsk Theater of Musical Comedy (now the Seversky Musical Theater) and then at the State Russian Drama Theater named after A.P. Chekhov (Chisinau) .
He often spent recitals in many schools of the Soviet Union.
