Was born on July 27, 1939 in Khabarovsk.
He worked as a sailor and helmsman on a steamer, a theatrical electrician, and then an actor in the Lenin Komsomol Regional Theater for Young Spectators.
He began writing in 1959. In 1963, the first book of the poet "Two Watermelons" was published, then - "The Merry Trowel". Continuing to write poetry for children, he tries his hand at prose. He wrote the story "Behind that turn ..." and the book of stories "Bukhta-Barakhta". He is the author of several plays that are shown in theaters in the country.
Graduated from the Higher Literary Courses.
Member of the Writers' Union of the USSR (Russia). Lives in Moscow.
