In 1958 he graduated from the theater school. Shchepkin and became an actor of the theater. Mossovet. In 1962-80 - at the Moscow Theater of Miniatures. Since 1972 - chief director.
Thanks to this theater, Rudin ended up on television in the "Tavern of 13 Chairs". The image of Pan Himalayan, a stupid and self-confident type, stuck with Rudin for life. For this reason, despite the many roles in theater and cinema, the directors could not offer him anything more significant.
