Kings of Leon is a musical group from the USA. The group was born in 1999, it was created by three brothers - Caleb, Jared, Nathan - and their cousin Matthew, and named after their father, whose name was Leon. The band plays in the style of alternative rock. Initially, their work contained a mixture of garage and southern rock. They made their debut in 2003 and almost immediately gained worldwide fame. They became famous and popular in Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, as well as in the USA and Canada. Three Grammy Awards brought them the album "Only by the night". The guys grew up in a preacher family in Oklahoma. In 1997, their father stopped preaching and they moved to another city, then they became interested in rock music. The composer Angelo Petral helped them get back on their feet and introduced them to legendary bands. Already in 2002, music labels became interested in the group, and was soon signed to RCA Records. Their first mini-album was released in February 2003. Although the musicians have not really figured out how to play musical instruments correctly, they have already received 4 out of five stars in Rolling Stone magazine.
