Ukrainian-Russian-Canadian actor Grigory Gladiy is from the Ternopil region, from the small town of Horostkov. From an early age he wanted to be an actor, and his desire came true. First, I studied at the Karpenko-Kary Kiev Institute, after work in Kharkov and again returned to Kiev, where they already started talking about him. The Kiev Youth Theater, in which the novice actor Gladiy was the soloist, decided to stage the play The Steadfast Prince. The play by the Spanish playwright P. Calderon did not conceal anything criminal in itself, but Grigory wanted to take as a basis the production of the famous Polish director Jerzy Grotowski, for which he became famous throughout the world. I just forgot that it was 1981 on the street, and the anti-Soviet movement Solidarity was gaining popularity in Poland.

The play was banned even at the stage of runs and the young actor was branded as unreliable. Kiev was then a very conservative city. Searches followed, and the actor found "bad" books. A little more and would have ended in arrest. Our hero had to seek his fortune in Lithuania, where he was invited by the famous director Jonas Vaitkus. After several years of work at the Kaunas Drama Theater, he moved to Moscow, to the Anatoly Vasiliev Theater, at the same time studying to be a director at GITIS.

In cinema, Gladiy made his debut as a student - he played a small role in the film Only old men go to battle, and after the films with the participation of Grigory Gladiy they were frequent guests on the cinema screens. Lost in the Sands, Blamed the Wedding, Cyrano de Bergerac are some of his most famous works. And in 1990 he was invited to stage the play Invitation to Execution in Montreal. As a result, he stayed there forever. The USSR was going through a period of disintegration, people and the state had no time for art.

Soon, Gladiy settled in Canada and received citizenship. But he did not change his profession. Although he became more of a theater director and teacher. And he didn't give up acting. Filmed a lot, playing mainly compatriots, and Hollywood did not pass by either - in the series Her name was Nikita. He often comes to Russia and Ukraine. In particular, he played one of the leaders of the UPA Roman Shukhevych in the film Unconquered Oles Yanchuk. Hopefully, we will see some good new films with Grigory Glady more than once.

Grigory Gladiy has brown eyes, naturally blond hair color, fair skin and thin lips. The shape of the face is triangular, the forehead is high, the hair is straight, soft.
