Grigory Manko was born a long time ago - November 30, 1885. This is a very famous Ukrainian actor, opera singer and teacher. He sang mainly in Ukrainian opera houses. Particularly popular were his role as Ivan Karas in Zaporozhets beyond the Danube, Valentine in Faust, Tonio in Pagliacci, and also the role of Ostap in Taras Bulba. In the movie he starred in just one film Natalka Poltavka, which was staged by the Soviet director Ivan Kavaleridze at the Ukrainefilm studio.
