Was born in 1934. After graduating from the screenwriting department of VGIK in 1967, he worked as a playwright, editor, director. For many years he was the chief editor of the Kazakhfilm studio, the chief editor of the Sverdlovsk film studio. Poet, author of the unique book "KHOR. Symphony in four movements" (Moscow, Soviet Writer, 2005).
