In 1967-1968 - editor of the color television department of the main editorial office of the Central Television, in 1971-1972 - head of the screenwriting workshop of the Belarusfilm Film Studio, in 1974-1975 - head of the experimental group of young screenwriters of the Central Screenwriting Studio of the USSR State Film Agency under the All-Union Committee of the Soviet Union, in 1976 -1982 he taught at the screenwriting faculty of VGIK, at the end of the 1980s - chief editor of the almanac "Kinoscenarii" .
He was buried in Moscow at the Khovanskoye cemetery (Central Territory, plot number 31).
