Born on December 19, 1927 in Krivoy Rog, Dnipropetrovsk region. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1983) .
Graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Theater School (1948). In 1950-1963 he was an actor at the Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater in Chernivtsi, in 1963-1982 he was an actor at the Ivan Franko Kiev Ukrainian Drama Theater. In cinema - since 1958, since 1982 he has been working only in cinema.
