She was born on February 10 (23), 1915 in Novocherkassk (now the Rostov region).
In 1937 she graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Performing Arts, workshop of S. A. Gerasimov. Since 1937 - an actress of the Lensovet Theater, in 1940-1941 - the Baltflot Theater. In the cinema - since 1934. The first big role - Moti Kotenkova played in the film by Sergei Gerasimov "Komsomolsk". After the war she moved to Moscow.
Since 1946 she has been an actress at the M. Gorky Central Children's Art School. The main theme of the actress's art is the embodiment of the character of a Russian woman in all her diversity. Her works are marked with warmth, everyday authenticity, naturalness.
V.P. Telegin died on October 4, 1979. She was buried in Moscow at the Mitinskoye cemetery.
